St. Mary's Cardinals (O'Neill, NE) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Creighton Bulldogs (Creighton, NE), 49-42 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Mary's upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Stuart (Stuart, NE) to clash with the Broncos in a D2 District 5 bout on Thursday, January 26. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 11-3. Stuart won 63-20 in their recent non-league bout against Burke (Burke, SD)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the North Central Knights (Bassett, NE) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 26. Creighton will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 52-46 non-league loss to St. Mary's (O'Neill, NE).
