North Carolina High School Basketball - Cummings crushes Jordan-Matthews

January 26, 2023: Siler City, NC 27344

Cummings Cavaliers (Burlington, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC), 85-57 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cummings upgrades its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Chatham Central (Bear Creek, NC) to play the Bears in a 1A/2A Conference 14 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 11-6. Chatham Central won 74-68 in their recent league bout against Seaforth (Pittsboro, NC)

Next up, the Jets play the Graham Red Devils (Graham, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 14 bout, on Friday, January 27. Jordan-Matthews will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record. The Red Devils come into the bout with a 3-13 record after their 74-66 league loss to North Moore (Robbins, NC).
