In Tuesday's league outing, the Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Derry Trojans (Derry, PA), by a margin of 89-64.
The Lancers (10-6) will now prepare for their outing against Blackhawk (Beaver Falls, PA). The Cougars go into the non-league outing with a 7-8 record. In their last outing, Blackhawk was trounced by Central Valley (Monaca, PA), 53-49, in a league outing.
The Trojans now own a 8-8 record. They play next when they travel to Burrell for a WPIAL 3A 3 outing on Friday, January 27. Derry will clash with a Bucs squad coming off a 78-66 league win over Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA). The Bucs record now stands at 9-7.
