Doane Stuart Thunder Chicken (Albany, NY) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Heatly Hornets (Troy, NY), 55-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Doane Stuart upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Thunder Chicken travel to Loudonville Christian (Loudonville, NY) to play the Eagles in a Section 2 Central Hudson Valley bout on Monday, February 6. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 6-7.

Next up, the Hornets play the Germantown Clippers (Germantown, NY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 26. Heatly will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Clippers come into the bout with a 2-10 record after their 69-28 league loss to Watervliet (Watervliet, NY).
