Georgia High School Basketball - Early County crushes Quitman County

January 24, 2023: Georgetown, GA 39854

Early County Bobcats (Blakely, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Quitman County Hornets (Georgetown, GA), 69-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Early County upgrades its record to 10-11 on the season. The Bobcats host Mitchell County (Camilla, GA) to play the Eagles in a A D2 Region 1B bout on Friday, January 27. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 18-2. Mitchell County lost 64-41 in their recent non-league bout against Calhoun County (Edison, GA)

Next up, the Hornets play the Stewart County Royal Knights (Lumpkin, GA) in a A D2 Region 1A bout, on Friday, January 27. Quitman County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Royal Knights go into the bout with a 2-16 record after their 75-36 league loss to Terrell County (Dawson, GA).
