East Moline United Panthers (East Moline, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL), 60-52 in a league bout.

With the win, East Moline United upgrades its record to 17-5 on the season. The Panthers travel to Galesburg (Galesburg, IL) to play the Silver Streaks in a Western Big 6 bout on Friday, January 27. The Silver Streaks go into the bout with a record of 7-18. Galesburg lost 78-56 in their recent league bout against Sterling (Sterling, IL)

Next up, the Rocks play the Moline Maroons (Moline, IL) in a Western Big 6 bout, on Friday, January 27. Rock Island will attempt to upgrade on its 15-8 season record. The Maroons go into the bout with a 20-3 record after their 87-38 league win over Geneseo (Geneseo, IL).
