Eastview Lightning (Apple Valley, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lakeville South Cougars (Lakeville, MN), 70-68 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Eastview upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Lightning host Prior Lake (Prior Lake, MN) to play the Lakers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Lakers go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Prior Lake lost 67-59 in their recent non-league bout against Eagan (Eagan, MN)

Next up, the Cougars play the Farmington Tigers (Farmington, MN) in a AAAA Section 1 bout, on Friday, January 27. Lakeville South will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 71-65 non-league loss to Shakopee (Shakopee, MN).
