The Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY) basketball crushed the host Elliott County Lions (Sandy Hook, KY), 79-50 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Lions (4-13) will now prepare for their test against Russell (Russell, KY). The Red Devils go into the District 63 test with a 18-3 record. In their last test, Russell walloped Lawrence County (Louisa, KY), 73-60, in a non-league test.
The Lions now own a 2-16 record. They play next when they host Morgan County for a District 62 test on Thursday, January 26. Elliott County will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 68-52 non-league loss to Mason County (Maysville, KY). The Cougars record now stands at 10-4.
