Utah High School Basketball - Green River nipped by Escalante

The Escalante Moquis tipped the visiting Green River Pirates basketball team by a final score of 42-41 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Moquis face the Milford Tigers (Milford, UT) in a 1A Region 20 game, on Thursday, January 26. Escalante will attempt to move on its 2-8 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 14-4 record after their 53-51 non-league loss to El Capitan/Centennial Academy (Colorado City, AZ).

With the defeat, Green River moves to 8-10 on the year. The Pirates travel to Monticello (Monticello, UT) to face the Buckaroo in a 1A Region 23 game on Thursday, February 2. The Buckaroo enter the game with a record of 6-8.
