California High School Basketball - Saugus nips Golden Valley

January 24, 2023: Santa Clarita, CA 91321

Saugus Centurions (Saugus, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Golden Valley Grizzlies (Santa Clarita, CA), 59-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Saugus upgrades its record to 14-10 on the season. The Centurions travel to Oakwood (North Hollywood, CA) to play the Owls in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 26. The Owls go into the bout with a record of 14-7. Oakwood won 59-49 in their recent league bout against AGBU (Canoga Park, CA)

Next up, the Grizzlies play the Valencia Vikings (Valencia, CA) in a Foothill bout, on Friday, January 27. Golden Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 13-11 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 15-10 record after their 76-58 league win over Canyon (Canyon Country, CA).
