Greene County Tech Golden Eagles (Paragould, AR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting West Memphis Blue Devils (West Memphis, AR), 68-62 in a league bout.

With the victory, Greene County Tech upgrades its record to 19-5 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles travel to Paragould (Paragould, AR) to play the Rams in a 5A East bout on Friday, January 27. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 8-15. Paragould lost 63-30 in their recent league bout against Marion (Marion, AR)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Batesville Pioneers (Batesville, AR) in a 5A East bout, on Friday, January 27. West Memphis will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Pioneers come into the bout with a 4-17 record after their 70-42 league loss to Nettleton (Jonesboro, AR).
