The Tyler Lions basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the visiting Hallsville Bobcats to 54 in the Lions league victory on Tuesday.
The Lions now sport a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pine Tree for a 5A Region II District 15 contest on Friday, January 27. Tyler will battle a Pirates team coming off a 47-40 league loss to Longview (Longview, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 10-13.
The Bobcats (17-10) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TX). The Tigers come into the 5A Region II District 15 contest with a 27-0 record. In their last contest, Mt. Pleasant prevailed over Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX), 62-28, in a league contest.
