The Hamilton Lions basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Nanih Waiya Warriors to 44 in the Lions non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Lions now sport a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Coffeeville for a 1A Region 4 contest on Friday, January 27. Hamilton will meet a Pirates team coming off a 66-62 non-league win over Calhoun City (Calhoun City, MS). The Pirates record now stands at 10-5.
The Warriors (2-8) will now prepare for their game against Philadelphia (Philadelphia, MS). The Tornadoes enter the 2A Region 5 game with a 4-11 record. In their last game, Philadelphia tipped Nanih Waiya (Louisville, MS), 50-28, in a league game.
