North Carolina High School Basketball - North Duplin succumbs to Hobbton

January 24, 2023: Newton Grove, NC 28366

The Hobbton Wildcats topped the visiting North Duplin Rebels basketball team by a final score of 53-44 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Rosewood Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) in a 1A Conference 10 game, on Friday, January 27. Hobbton will attempt to move on its 6-9 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 9-7 record after their 74-43 league win over Lakewood (Roseboro, NC).

With the defeat, North Duplin moves to 6-10 on the year. The Rebels travel to Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC) to face the Cougars in a 1A Conference 10 game on Friday, January 27. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 18-3. Neuse Charter won 84-33 in their recent league game against Union (Rose Hill, NC)
