The Jeffers Jets (Painesdale, MI) basketball felled the visiting Houghton Gremlins (Houghton, MI), 79-65 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Jets (12-0) will now prepare for their test against Wakefield (Wakefield, MI). The Cardinals go into the non-league test with a 7-4 record. In their last test, Wakefield thwarted Baraga (Baraga, MI), 74-48, in a non-league test.
The Gremlins now own a 9-3 record. They play next when they travel to Calumet for a Western Peninsula test on Thursday, January 26. Houghton will encounter a Copper Kings squad coming off a 71-51 non-league win over Chassell (Chassell, MI). The Copper Kings record now stands at 4-5.
