The St. John-Vianney Lancers basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Howell Rebels to 40 in the Lancers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lancers now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Raritan for a Shore A - Central contest on Tuesday, January 31. St. John-Vianney will battle a Rockets team coming off a 49-33 league win over Freehold Boro (Freehold, NJ). The Rockets record now stands at 16-0.

The Rebels (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Marlboro (Marlboro, NJ). The Mustangs enter the Shore A - North contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Marlboro was defeated by Christian Brothers Academy (Lincroft, NJ), 51-49, in a league contest.
