Alabama High School Basketball - Pike Road tipped by Jefferson Davis

The Jefferson Davis Volunteers basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Pike Road Patriots to 74 in the Volunteers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Volunteers now sport a 22-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pinson Valley for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 26. Jefferson Davis will meet a Indians team coming off a 62-50 league win over Clay-Chalkville (Pinson, AL). The Indians record now stands at 22-0.

The Patriots (16-9) will now prepare for their contest against Park Crossing (Montgomery, AL). The Thunderbirds enter the 6A Area 4 contest with a 9-12 record. In their last contest, Park Crossing was nudged by Charles Henderson (Troy, AL), 88-56, in a non-league game.
