Texas High School Basketball - Nacogdoches can't hold off Kingwood Park

The Kingwood Park Panthers basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Nacogdoches Dragons to 42 in the Panthers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Panthers now sport a 12-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Huntsville for a 5A Region II District 16 contest on Friday, January 27. Kingwood Park will battle a Hornets team coming off a 50-29 league loss to Lufkin (Lufkin, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 4-14.
The Dragons (16-11) will now prepare for their bout against Dayton (Dayton, TX). The Broncos go into the 5A Region II District 16 bout with a 9-19 record. In their last bout, Dayton was edged by Porter (Porter, TX), 41-40, in a league bout.
