The Lake Creek Lions basketball team (Montgomery, TX), was nudged 59-56 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Magnolia West Mustangs (Magnolia, TX)
The Mustangs now possess a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Montgomery for a 5A Region III District 21 battle on Friday, January 27. Magnolia West will confront a Bears team coming off a 49-47 league win over College Station (College Station, TX). The Bears record now stands at 12-14.
The Lions (18-11) will now prepare for their battle against Brenham (Brenham, TX). The Cubs come into the 5A Region III District 21 battle with a 12-15 record. In their last battle, Brenham was nudged by Rudder (Bryan, TX), 66-53, in a league battle.
