Lorena Leopards (Lorena, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting McGregor Bulldogs (McGregor, TX), 63-30 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lorena upgrades its record to 22-5 on the campaign. The Leopards travel to C.H. Yoe (Cameron, TX) to play the Yoemen in a 3A Region III District 19 bout on Friday, January 27. The Yoemen come into the bout with a record of 16-7. C.H. Yoe won 54-45 in their recent league bout against Rogers (Rogers, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Rockdale Tigers (Rockdale, TX) in a 3A Region III District 19 bout, on Friday, January 27. McGregor will attempt to upgrade on its 15-11 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 4-19 record after their 61-38 league loss to Lexington (Lexington, TX).
