The Lumpkin County Indians basketball team (Dahlonega, GA), was nudged 54-51 in Tuesday's league battle with the host West Hall Spartans (Oakwood, GA)

The Spartans now possess a 10-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to White County for a AAA Region 7 battle on Friday, January 27. West Hall will confront a Warriors team coming off a 50-46 league loss to Wesleyan (Norcross, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 12-8.

The Indians (4-17) will now prepare for their battle against Gilmer (Ellijay, GA). The Bobcats come into the AAA Region 7 battle with a 12-7 record. In their last battle, Gilmer edged Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA), 83-70, in a league battle.
