Mapleton Sailors (Mapleton, OR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host McKenzie Eagles (Finn Rock, OR), 54-22 in a league bout.

With the win, Mapleton upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Sailors host Triangle Lake (Blachly, OR) to confront the Lakers in a 1A Mountain West challenge on Thursday, January 26. The Lakers come into the challenge with a record of 10-3. Triangle Lake won 44-31 in their recent league challenge against Crow (Eugene, OR)

Next up, the Eagles confront the Mohawk Mustangs (Marcola, OR) in a 1A Mountain West challenge, on Thursday, January 26. McKenzie will attempt to improve on its 0-17 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 13-5 record after their 42-16 league win over Crow (Eugene, OR).
