Torres Toros (Los Angeles, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Maywood Academy Nighthawks (Maywood, CA), 56-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Torres upgrades its record to 4-15 on the season. The Toros travel to Marquez (Huntington Park, CA) to play the Gladiators in a Southern bout on Thursday, January 26. The Gladiators go into the bout with a record of 18-3. Marquez won 68-42 in their recent league bout against Maywood CES (Maywood, CA)

Next up, the Nighthawks play the Elizabeth Bulldogs (Cudahy, CA) in a Southern bout, on Thursday, January 26. Maywood Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-14 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 96-62 league loss to Bravo (Los Angeles, CA).
