The Metamora Redbirds basketball team scored 62 points and held the host Morton Potters to 45 in the Redbirds league triumph on Tuesday.
The Redbirds now sport a 20-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Canton for a Mid-Illini contest on Friday, January 27. Metamora will meet a Little Giants team coming off a 62-39 league loss to East Peoria (East Peoria, IL). The Little Giants record now stands at 4-15.
The Potters (18-7) will now prepare for their contest against Pekin (Pekin, IL). The Dragons enter the Mid-Illini contest with a 10-11 record. In their last contest, Pekin ran past Washington (Washington, IL), 54-45, in a non-league contest.
