In Tuesday's league outing, the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA) basketball squad beat the visiting Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA), by a margin of 60-45.
The Purple Hurricanes (17-3) will now prepare for their outing against Hart County (Hartwell, GA). The Bulldogs go into the AAA Region 8 outing with a 12-8 record. In their last outing, Hart County defeated Franklin County (Carnesville, GA), 90-69, in a league outing.
The Warriors now own a 13-7 record. They play next when they travel to Hebron Christian Academy for a AAA Region 8 outing on Friday, January 27. Oconee County will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 51-46 league loss to Stephens County (Toccoa, GA). The Lions record now stands at 7-12.
