Spectators at Tuesday's league test between the New Waverly Bulldogs (New Waverly, TX) and the visiting Trinity Tigers (Trinity, TX), witnessed New Waverly's basketball squad crush Trinity by a margin of 73-47.

The Bulldogs (19-6) will now prepare for their test against Anderson-Shiro (Anderson, TX). The Fighting Owls go into the 3A Region III District 23 test with a 6-21 record. In their last test, Anderson-Shiro was trounced by Crockett (Crockett, TX), 67-54, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 3-19 record. They play next when they host Onalaska for a 3A Region III District 23 test on Friday, January 27. Trinity will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 86-74 league loss to Shepherd (Shepherd, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-17.
