Vinalhaven Vikings (Vinalhaven, ME) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host North Haven Hawks (North Haven, ME), 66-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Vinalhaven upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Vikings host Valley (Bingham, ME) to play the Cavaliers in a D South bout on Friday, January 27. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Valley lost 63-50 in their recent non-league bout against Richmond (Richmond, ME)

Next up, the Hawks play the Temple Academy Bereans (Waterville, ME) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 28. North Haven will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record.
