The Water Valley Wildcats (Water Valley, TX) basketball felled the visiting Ozona Lions (Ozona, TX), 58-43 in Tuesday's league test.

The Wildcats (15-11) will now prepare for their test against Sonora (Sonora, TX). The Broncos go into the 2A Region I District 7 test with a 3-13 record. In their last test, Sonora went down by Reagan County (Big Lake, TX), 90-36, in a league test.

The Lions now own a 5-19 record. They play next when they host Christoval for a 2A Region I District 7 test on Friday, January 27. Ozona will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 55-47 league win over Eldorado (Eldorado, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 15-12.
