Virginia High School Basketball - Peninsula Catholic edges Steward

In Tuesday's league outing, the Peninsula Catholic Knights (Newport News, VA) basketball squad nipped the visiting Steward Spartans (Richmond, VA), by a margin of 59-52.

The Knights (19-5) will now prepare for their outing against Walsingham Academy (Williamsburg, VA). The Trojans go into the VISAA Division III outing with a 12-9 record.

The Spartans now own a 12-6 record. They play next when they host Cape Henry Collegiate for a VISAA Division I outing on Friday, January 27. Steward will encounter a Dolphins squad coming off a 57-40 league win over Norfolk Academy (Norfolk, VA). The Dolphins record now stands at 9-5.
