The Zapata Hawks basketball team (Zapata, TX), was toppled 50-40 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Port Isabel Tarpons (Port Isabel, TX)
The Tarpons now possess a 22-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Raymondville for a 4A Region IV District 32 battle on Friday, January 27. Port Isabel will confront a Bearkats team coming off a 66-22 league win over Harmony School of Innovation (Brownsville, TX). The Bearkats record now stands at 14-14.
The Hawks (8-11) will now prepare for their battle against Jubilee Brownsville (Brownsville, TX). The Titans come into the 4A Region IV District 32 battle with a 7-9 record. In their last battle, Jubilee Brownsville beat Hidalgo (Hidalgo, TX), 67-53, in a league battle.
