Ridgewood Rebels (Norridge, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Westmont Sentinels (Westmont, IL), 58-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Ridgewood upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season. The Rebels travel to St. Edward (Elgin, IL) to clash with the Green Wave in a Metro Suburban bout on Thursday, January 26. The Green Wave go into the bout with a record of 14-10. St. Edward won 60-48 in their recent league bout against Aurora Central Catholic (Aurora, IL)

Next up, the Sentinels clash with the Elmwood Park Tigers (Elmwood Park, IL) in a Metro Suburban bout, on Friday, January 27. Westmont will attempt to upgrade on its 8-15 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 2-17 record after their 68-44 league loss to Bishop McNamara (Kankakee, IL).
