Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the West Mesquite Wranglers (Mesquite, TX) and the host Seagoville Dragons (Dallas, TX), saw West Mesquite's basketball squad hold off Seagoville by a tally of 54-52.
With the victory, West Mesquite improves its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Wranglers host Samuell (Dallas, TX) to play the Spartans in a 5A Region II District 12 challenge on Friday, January 27. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 3-17. Samuell lost 81-39 in their recent league challenge against North Mesquite (Mesquite, TX)
Next up, the Dragons play the Adams Cougars (Dallas, TX) in a 5A Region II District 12 challenge, on Friday, January 27. Seagoville will attempt to improve on its 7-14 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 14-13 record after their 43-39 league loss to Poteet (Mesquite, TX).
