The McEvans Warriors (Shaw, MS) basketball knocked off the visiting West Tallahatchie Choctaws (Webb, MS), 58-48 in Tuesday's league test.
The Warriors (15-6) will now prepare for their test against West Bolivar (Rosedale, MS). The Eagles go into the 1A Region 5 test with a 7-8 record. In their last test, West Bolivar notched a victory over Simmons (Hollandale, MS), 64-62, in a league test.
The Choctaws now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to West Bolivar for a 1A Region 5 test on Tuesday, January 31.
