The Pingry School Big Blue (Martinsville, NJ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Somerville Pioneers (Somerville, NJ), 63-58 in a league bout.

With the win, The Pingry School upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Big Blue host Princeton Day (Princeton, NJ) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 8-8. Princeton Day won 61-56 in their recent non-league bout against West Windsor-Plainsboro South (Princeton Junction, NJ)

Next up, the Pioneers clash with the Bound Brook Crusaders (Bound Brook, NJ) in a Skyland - Valley bout, on Thursday, January 26. Somerville will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 13-1 record after their 57-49 league win over Voorhees (Glen Gardner, NJ).
