In Tuesday's league outing, the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the host St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL), by a margin of 59-28.
The Spartans (17-4) will now prepare for their outing against Monticello (Monticello, IL). The Sages go into the Illini Prairie outing with a 12-8 record. In their last outing, Monticello was trounced by Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL), 65-56, in a league outing.
The Sabers now own a 13-8 record. They play next when they travel to Bloomington Central Catholic for a Illini Prairie outing on Friday, January 27. St. Thomas More will encounter a Saints squad coming off a 63-49 league win over Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL). The Saints record now stands at 16-6.
