Texas High School Basketball - Weslaco East succumbs to Veterans Memorial

The Veterans Memorial Chargers topped the visiting Weslaco East Wildcats basketball team by a final score of 60-47 in Tuesday's league game.
In their next game, the Chargers face the Donna North Chiefs (Donna, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 game, on Friday, January 27. Veterans Memorial will attempt to move on its 17-10 season record. The Chiefs enter the game with a 2-22 record after their 86-40 league loss to Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX).
With the defeat, Weslaco East moves to 18-11 on the year. The Wildcats host Mercedes (Mercedes, TX) to face the Tigers in a 5A Region IV District 32 game on Friday, January 27. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 13-14.
