The Highland Hornets basketball team (Albuquerque, NM), was overwhelmed 69-42 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Grants Pirates (Grants, NM)
The Pirates now possess a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Belen for a non-league battle on Friday, January 27. Grants will confront a Eagles team coming off a 45-42 non-league win over Highland (Albuquerque, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 5-4.
The Hornets (2-10) will now prepare for their battle against Valencia (Los Lunas, NM). The Jaguars come into the non-league battle with a 0-10 record. In their last battle, Valencia was overwhelmed by St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM), 64-31, in a non-league battle.
