Alba-Golden Panthers (Alba, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Cumby Trojans (Cumby, TX), 72-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Alba-Golden upgrades its record to 14-10 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Fruitvale (Fruitvale, TX) to play the Bobcats in a 2A Region II District 15 bout on Friday, January 27. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 15-8. Fruitvale lost 39-32 in their recent league bout against Boles (Quinlan, TX)

Next up, the Trojans play the Cooper Bulldogs (Cooper, TX) in a 2A Region II District 15 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Cumby will attempt to upgrade on its 12-9 season record.
