Mayo Spartans (Rochester, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Albert Lea Tigers (Albert Lea, MN), 70-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mayo upgrades its record to 14-1 on the season. The Spartans travel to Faribault (Faribault, MN) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 5-11. Faribault lost 38-31 in their recent league bout against Winona (Winona, MN)

Next up, the Tigers play the Worthington Trojans (Worthington, MN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 26. Albert Lea will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 67-57 league win over Jordan (Jordan, MN).
