Algona Bulldogs (Algona, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Humboldt Wildcats (Humboldt, IA), 44-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Algona upgrades its record to 15-5 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Iowa Falls-Alden (Iowa Falls, IA) to play the Cadets in a North Central bout on Friday, January 27. The Cadets go into the bout with a record of 6-7.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Hampton-Dumont Bulldogs (Hampton, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 27. Humboldt will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record.
