Illinois High School Basketball - East St. Louis ripped by Alton

The Alton Redbirds basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting East St. Louis Flyers to 32 in the Redbirds league triumph on Tuesday.
The Redbirds now sport a 24-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to O'Fallon for a Southwestern contest on Thursday, January 26. Alton will battle a Panthers team coming off a 37-22 league win over Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 22-4.
The Flyers (9-17) will now prepare for their contest against Collinsville (Collinsville, IL). The Kahoks enter the Southwestern contest with a 13-12 record. In their last contest, Collinsville triumphed over Belleville West (Belleville, IL), 57-36, in a league contest.
