The East Marion Eagles basketball team (Columbia, MS), was nudged 38-32 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Amite County Trojans (Liberty, MS)
The Trojans now possess a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Loyd Star for a 2A Region 7 battle on Friday, January 27. Amite County will confront a Hornets team coming off a 60-21 league loss to West Lincoln (Brookhaven, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 6-14.
The Eagles (2-15) will now prepare for their battle against West Lincoln (Brookhaven, MS). The Bears come into the 2A Region 7 battle with a 18-1 record. In their last battle, West Lincoln edged Bogue Chitto (Bogue Chitto, MS), 55-44, in a league battle.
