The Athens Christian Eagles (Athens, GA) basketball felled the visiting Commerce Tigers (Commerce, GA), 70-50 in Tuesday's league test.
The Eagles (11-7) will now prepare for their test against Elbert County (Elberton, GA). The Blue Devils go into the A D1 Region 8 test with a 17-4 record.
The Tigers now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to Rabun County for a A D1 Region 8 test on Friday, January 27. Commerce will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 84-47 league win over Tallulah Falls (Tallulah Falls, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 19-1.
