California High School Basketball - Avenal knocked off by Firebaugh

The Firebaugh Eagles basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Avenal Buccaneers to 36 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 10-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Coalinga for a West Sierra contest on Friday, January 27. Firebaugh will meet a Horned Toads team coming off a 36-31 league loss to Mendota (Mendota, CA). The Horned Toads record now stands at 14-6.
The Buccaneers (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Tranquillity (Tranquillity, CA). The Tigers enter the West Sierra contest with a 12-11 record. In their last contest, Tranquillity was outscored by Coast Union (Cambria, CA), 41-14, in a non-league contest.
