Azusa Aztecs (Azusa, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Gladstone Gladiators (Covina, CA), 18-16 in a league bout.

With the win, Azusa upgrades its record to 5-24 on the season. The Aztecs host Sierra Vista (Baldwin Park, CA) to clash with the Dons in a Montview bout on Thursday, January 26. The Dons go into the bout with a record of 9-12. Sierra Vista won 25-20 in their recent league bout against Duarte (Duarte, CA)

Next up, the Gladiators clash with the Workman Lobos (City of Industry, CA) in a Montview bout, on Thursday, January 26. Gladstone will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Lobos go into the bout with a 4-16 record after their 46-45 league loss to Nogales (La Puente, CA).
