The Booneville Blue Devils basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Mantachie Mustangs to 41 in the Blue Devils league triumph on Tuesday.

The Blue Devils now sport a 20-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Okolona for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 26. Booneville will battle a Chieftains team coming off a 49-45 non-league loss to Amory (Amory, MS). The Chieftains record now stands at 5-17.

The Mustangs (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Pine Grove (Ripley, MS). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 2-18 record. In their last contest, Pine Grove was routed by Walnut (Walnut, MS), 66-36, in a league contest.
