Cabrini Monarchs (Allen Park, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Richard Pioneers (Riverview, MI), 54-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cabrini upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Monarchs travel to St. Catherine of Siena Academy (Wixom, MI) to play the in a Catholic C-D D bout on Friday, January 27. The come into the bout with a record of 11-1. St. Catherine of Siena Academy won 55-28 in their recent non-league bout against Lutheran North (Macomb, MI)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Shrine Catholic Knights (Royal Oak, MI) in a Catholic C-D D bout, on Thursday, January 26. Richard will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 53-48 non-league loss to Lutheran North (Macomb, MI).
