Calais Blue Devils (Calais, ME) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Narraguagus Knights (Harrington, ME), 58-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Calais upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Blue Devils host Machias (Machias, ME) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 26. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-1. Machias won 53-46 in their recent non-league bout against Woodland (Baileyville, ME)

Next up, the Knights play the Shead Tigers (Eastport, ME) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 27. Narraguagus will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 1-11 record after their 47-43 non-league win over Lee Academy (Lee, ME).
