Vista Grande Spartans (Casa Grande, AZ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ), 51-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Vista Grande upgrades its record to 9-13 on the season. The Spartans travel to Coronado (Scottsdale, AZ) to play the Dons in a 4A Black Canyon bout on Thursday, January 26. The Dons go into the bout with a record of 7-14. Coronado won 56-40 in their recent league bout against Apache Junction (Apache Junction, AZ)

Next up, the Colts play the Tempe Buffaloes (Tempe, AZ) in a 4A Black Canyon bout, on Thursday, January 26. Cortez will attempt to move on its 4-11 season record. The Buffaloes enter the game with a 2-15 record after their 52-30 league loss to Dysart (El Mirage, AZ).
