The Cumberland Dukes (Cumberland, VA) basketball knocked off the host Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA), 64-47 in Tuesday's league test.
The Dukes (15-1) will now prepare for their test against Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA). The Raiders go into the James River test with a 7-8 record. In their last test, Amelia County went down by Maggie Walker (Richmond, VA), 47-46, in a non-league test.
The Chargers now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Prince Edward County for a James River test on Friday, January 27. Lunenburg Central will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 39-33 league loss to Cumberland (Cumberland, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 7-6.
